1. General Provisions

1.1. These Terms define the conditions for using the [escape-sudoku.com] website (hereinafter referred to as the “Site”), which is intended for solving Sudoku puzzles and accessing related services and materials.

1.2. The Site allows Users to create personal accounts (player profiles), which facilitate access to Site features, including participation in player rankings (Leaderboard), daily challenges, email notifications, and continuation of unfinished games.

1.3. Every User has the right to delete their account at any time via the corresponding function on the Site.

1.4. The core content and functionality of the Site — including solving Sudoku puzzles, access to the blog, print tools, Sudoku solver, and informational materials on solving techniques — are available free of charge to all visitors for private use.

1.5. To support free access to content, the Site may display advertisements. Registered Users have the option to disable ads by purchasing a paid subscription.

1.6. Each registered User is entitled to one free trial day of ad-free gameplay, after which a paid subscription is required for continued ad-free use.

2. Site Owner Information

2.1. The Sudoku website available at https://escape-sudoku.com (the “Site”) is operated by sole proprietor Pavlo Kravchenko, conducting business under the laws of the Republic of Poland, with a registered address at ul. Reduta 44/13, 31-421 Kraków, NIP: 9452296222, REGON: 529824964.

2.2. All property rights to the domain name, logo, graphic design, and the name “Escape Sudoku” belong to the Site owner and are protected under the Polish Copyright and Related Rights Act, as well as applicable EU legislation.

2.3. Any unauthorized use of the aforementioned elements — including copying, reproduction, distribution, or modification — without written permission from the owner is prohibited and may result in legal consequences as prescribed by applicable laws.

3. Service Provision Method and Timing

3.1. Access to https://escape-sudoku.com is free for all Users. However, some features may be limited or accompanied by ads unless the User has an active paid subscription.

3.2. Purchasing a paid subscription grants Users extended access to Site features, including an ad-free experience, additional game options (depending on the chosen plan), and a personalized player profile.

3.3. Paid subscriptions are activated automatically upon confirmation of payment received via the PayU payment system to the Site owner's account. In most cases, activation occurs immediately following a successful transaction.

3.4. If the payment is not received within three (3) banking days after the subscription order, the subscription is canceled, and the User’s account reverts to the standard free access level.

3.5. The User is solely responsible for entering accurate payment information and ensuring sufficient funds for the transaction.

4. Refund Policy

4.1. Paid subscriptions on https://escape-sudoku.com are only available to individuals aged 18 or older. By subscribing, the User confirms they meet this requirement.

4.2. In accordance with EU law, once a paid subscription is activated, the User waives the right to withdraw from digital content provided immediately, if prior consent to this was given during subscription. As such, refunds for activated subscriptions are generally not issued.

4.3. In exceptional cases, the Site administration may consider refunds at its discretion, based on a written request and the usage period already consumed. The cost of the used portion of the subscription is non-refundable.

4.4. To request a refund, the User must send an informal email to [email protected], including:

• Full name or username;
• Reason for the refund request;
• Payment details for the refund.

4.5. The Site administration will review the request within 14 calendar days and respond to the User's email. If approved, the refund will be issued within 14 days of the decision.

5. Complaint Procedure

5.1. In the event of temporary unavailability of Site features due to technical issues or other causes attributable to the Site owner, Users may file a complaint by emailing: [email protected].

5.2. If the Site owner’s responsibility is confirmed, compensation may be provided in the form of additional time under the paid subscription terms. Monetary compensation is not offered.

5.3. The Site owner bears no responsibility for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Site, including but not limited to: data loss, service interruption, lost profits, or reputational harm.

5.4. Any disputes between the User and the Site administration shall be resolved through negotiation to reach a mutually acceptable outcome. If an agreement cannot be reached, parties may take legal action under applicable law.

6. Commercial Use of the Site

6.1. Commercial use of the Site includes any actions directly or indirectly aimed at generating profit using the information, materials, or technical resources provided by https://escape-sudoku.com.

6.2. Republishing Sudoku puzzles generated or published on our Site on third-party platforms (websites, blogs, etc.) is permitted only with a mandatory active link to the source — the main page of our Site.

6.3. Copying, adapting, translating, or otherwise using articles, Sudoku techniques, or blog content is only allowed with a direct link to the source — https://escape-sudoku.com.

6.4. Publishing our Sudoku puzzles in newspapers, magazines, collections, or other printed media is only permitted upon prior agreement with the Site administration.

6.5. The Site administration offers paid Sudoku generation services, including royalty-based licensing arrangements.

6.6. We also offer customized Sudoku collections and can provide paid access to our Sudoku generation API under separate licensing terms.

6.7. Any commercial use of the Site’s materials without prior written consent from the administration is strictly prohibited.

6.8. The Site administration reserves the right to contact regulatory and law enforcement authorities, including filing legal claims, to protect intellectual property rights in case of violations.

7. Paid Subscription

7.1. Paid subscriptions can be purchased via the dedicated page: https://escape-sudoku.com/sudoku-no-ads. Subscriptions are available only to registered Users.

7.2. All prices listed on the Site are in US dollars (USD) and are final. The subscription fee includes all applicable taxes and PayU payment processing fees.

7.3. During the subscription period, all ads are disabled for the corresponding User. Additional features may also be provided, depending on the selected subscription plan.

7.4. Cancellation of a paid subscription is only possible in exceptional cases and must be agreed upon with the Site administration. The User must contact [email protected] with a justified request.

7.5. Each registered User is entitled to a one-time free trial subscription for 1 day to explore the ad-free functionality and assess whether the paid plan meets their expectations.

7.6. Every subscription payment is considered a voluntary financial contribution to support the Escape Sudoku project, intended to improve the service and enhance the gameplay experience. We sincerely encourage Users to enjoy ad-free Sudoku through a subscription.
