Sudoku Diagonal Rules
The rules of Diagonal Sudoku are very similar to regular Sudoku. The player must fill in all empty cells so that the numbers from 1 to 9 do not repeat in rows, columns, 3x3 squares, and main diagonals.
It's not hard to notice that the game field has two dashed lines; these are the main diagonals. On one hand, diagonals make the game more challenging, but on the other hand, during the solution search process, they sometimes help narrow down the number of candidates.
During Sudoku X gameplay, you need to fill in 51 cells. The maximum score you can achieve throughout the game is 255 points. There is no time limit, so you can take as much time as you need to solve the Sudoku puzzle.
Sudoku with Diagonals. Tips
- Start scanning the numbers in order from 1 to 9.
- We recommend changing techniques to solve challenging areas.
- Avoid entering arbitrary values for cells.
- Don't get stuck in one place.
- Use comments to record candidates.
- Check which numbers are missing in the diagonals; perhaps you overlooked something.
- Identify "weak cells" and try to guess the value in that cell. In such cells, the number of candidates is minimal.
